I spent over a decade as a teacher and instructional designer — learning how people actually learn, not just how to present information. That's a different skill. And it's rare in the AI world.
When AI tools started going mainstream, I didn't just read about them. I tested everything. I built real systems. I made mistakes that cost me hours so my clients don't have to make the same ones. By the time most "AI experts" were writing LinkedIn posts about ChatGPT, I'd already integrated AI into my own workflows, built tools for clients, and co-founded Sophyx — an AI agent platform for small and medium-sized businesses.
Today I run Britelite Strategies Inc. out of Kingston, Ontario. We do three things: AI consulting for organizations that need real strategy (not hype), AI training for teams that want to actually use it, and speaking for conferences and events that want their audience to leave with something actionable.
The combination of a professional teaching background and hands-on AI building is genuinely rare. That's the moat. That's why it works.

Sophyx co-founded
Co-founded Sophyx, an AI agent platform that gives small and medium-sized businesses their own custom AI advisor — a Business Brain — without needing a technical team to build it.
